Yesterday on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, something special took place in the seminary.
On completion of their Initiation Year, the 3 brothers, Marcus Chew, Eugene Chan and Bernard Tng, were officially presented their cassocks.
The investiture of the cassock represents the seminarians’ next stage of their formation journey; to deepen their decision to follow in the footsteps of Christ, as well as to be officially inaugurated into the Seminary community.
The wearing of this clerical garb continues to be a visible sign of belief and of the consecration of one’s life to the service of the Lord and His Church.
We pray, dear Jesus Christ, ‘that these servants of yours, who are to wear the cassock, likewise put on you, and be recognized as men dedicated to your service!’
